Robin D. G. Kelley, Distinguished Professor and Gary B. Nash Endowed Chair in US History, UCLA, is author or editor of numerous books including Africa Speaks, America Answers: Modern Jazz in Revolutionary Times and Thelonious Monk: The Life and Times of an American Original.
Donna Murch, Associate Professor of History at Rutgers University, is the author of Living for the City: Migration, Education, and the Rise of the Black Panther Party in Oakland and the forthcoming Assata Taught Me: State Violence, Mass Incarceration, and the Movement for Black Lives.
Daniel Borzutzky is the author of Written After a Massacre in the Year 2018; Lake Michigan, finalist for the 2019 Griffin International Poetry Prize; THE PERFORMANCE OF BECOMING HUMAN, which received the 2016 National Book Award. His other books include IN THE MURMURS OF THE ROTTEN CARCASS ECONOMY (2015); Memories of my Overdevelopment (2015); and The Book of Interfering Bodies (2011). He teaches in the English and Latin American and Latino Studies Departments at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Samuel Moyn is Henry R. Luce Professor of Jurisprudence at Yale Law School and professor of history at Yale University. He previously taught at Harvard University, where he was Jeremiah Smith, Jr. Professor of Law and Professor of History, and at Columbia University, where he was James Bryce Professor of European Legal History. His books include Not Enough: Human Rights in an Unequal World, Christian Human Rights, and The Last Utopia: Human Rights in History. He is a regular contributor to publications including Boston Review, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Dissent, The Nation, The New Republic, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
